Heart Full of Peanut Butter

Favorite Things

A few of my favorite things, in no particular order :)

NEW YORK CITY

The most incredible, amazing, exhausting, stimulating, sexy,  culturally-diverse, beautiful, colorful, artsy, fashion-filled, passion-filled, busy, ever-changing city that I currently call HOME.

GOOD-FOR-YOU FOODS

I always try to make sure that the foods that I put into my body are good for me.  I love buying local food - either at Whole foods, or a farmers market, and would consider myself a “pescatarian” — meaning that I eat no meat, and I sometimes eat fish.  My diet consists of whole grains, nuts, beans, healthy fats (such as avocados, olive oil, nut butters), yogurt, cheese, eggs, fruits and veggies galore.  I am not perfect, so I do not always eat perfectly … I believe that the healthiest way to live is eating everything in moderation.  BALANCE is the key (to so many things in life, not just food!)

RESTAURANTS

Not just any restaurant (I am not so much into the whole restaurant chain thing) … but the GEMS that you find in amazing city like NY.  I absolutely LOVE going out to dinner out at a new restaurant, or simply at a favorite neighborhood spot.  Pair with it a bottle of wine and good company - and I am one happy girl.

FAMILY & FRIENDS

I believe in the importance of surrounding yourself with amazing people … people who love and support you, who make you laugh … people who make you a better person.  I am fortunate enough to have a wonderful family and incredible friends all around me.  Without them in my life, I wouldn’t be the same person that I am today.  Be thankful for the wonderful people that surround you.  They will only lift you higher.

PEANUT BUTTER

I am 100% peanut butter obsessed.  Although recently in my quest to better  balance my ph levels, I have embraced Sunflower and Almond Butters - and I am equally in love.  Peanuts are very acidic and were causing an imbalance in my levels (b/c I ate so much of it!) and I find that I am more balanced by substituting  other nut butters - that are JUST as amazingly delicious.

FITNESS

My fitness routine is very important to me, and I try to workout 5-6 times a week.  Exercise is my ME time - it keeps me grounded, as some days its the only thing I do for myself all day.  I vary my routine between cardio, strength training and yoga.  It is so important to be good to your body :)

Live in the present, and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering
